This collection was harder then I thought it was going to be. I mean, DUH!
We got in a new style of hat that met all the requirements to support a hearty Blink Blink stitch. I'm really jealous of brands that just print onto their foam front, I mean REALLY jealous. The stitch I love is heavy and the yarns can get pretty thick and so I have to have a cotton cover over the foam to absorb the movement without creasing the fabric. This thread was all embroidery thread. I like it for all the colors that it offers, the silky finish and the uniformity.
You'll find dreamy color combos on LAKE with emerald seaglass, deep pastel blues and sky blues, turquoise, and grey green. Or on FISH with warm oranges, burnt rust, cinnamon, saffron and cedar, gold and russet. OR HIKE in earthy brown, bronzed beige, and tawny.
It starts with a hot glue gun drawing on the name and crossing the fingers that it stays in place and doesn't drip. One thing I'm not good at is practicing. But practicing is smart and advised. This isn't on a flat surface so challenge accepted. Luckily, Blink Blink is famously known for imperfections and a whimsical attitude, so it always works out in my favor. That being said, this is a very limited edition and my fingers are blistered and I need a serious manicure.
To all the hand embroidery artists and creatives out there, I tip my Trucker Hat to you. It's harder then it looks and you all do it so beautifully.
